2001 Vermeer BC1230a wood chipper- If you want a prefect one- stop reading now! If you are still reading- I sold this machine to a customer about 8 years ago, machines starts,runs and chips. Was repowered with a Ford diesel a few years back after original Perkins failed. Bodywork has rust-front flip down hood is pretty rusty, one fender is shot, rest isn't terrible. Somebody put different gauges on at some point, oil pressure is great, temp gauage works, tach works but needle is broken off, hour meter reads 1230 and does work but it is not the original meter- true hours unknown. Blades good. We've recently serviced (air air/fuel/hydraulic filters, engine oil and filter), had bottom of fuel tank done by local machine shop, new fuel feed line and check valve, replaced some wear parts in the handle/feed control. Unit works great for an older chipper. We've used it on a yard cleanup project last fall- Has worked well. Chipped probably 4 triaxle loads with it. Priced about as decent as you'll find a 12" power feed diesel chipper- was $7500. - First $6500! Call 802-793-7023 to come take a look. Good starter or homeowner machine
